IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to DO what the lessons are teaching you, find solutions to your problems, and contact us for help. All it takes is action and action builds confidence
Overview:
Last week you learned that Blog flipping is a niche form of website flipping. This week we’re going to talk about the systems for filling your blog with content. Here are four ways you can fill your blog:
System #1 = Write the content yourself. A good blog posts fresh new content systematically (or on a set schedule). Normally to start out you would blog once a week, every other day, or – if you’re a high achiever – once a day. This is a LOT of content to cover so we suggest posting every other day.
When you’re writing content for your blog you should target keywords in your niche that get high traffic, but have low competition. You can do this by researching keywords in the Google Keyword Tool, and then writing an article that focuses on this topic. By posting with a targeted keyword each of your posts then have a purpose: to bring in more traffic from that keyword.
System #2 = Outsourcing your writing is a very effective (and cheap) way to fill your content while still building your business. Let’s face it, writing 500 words every other day is going to take up a lot of your time, so a good solution is to hire a part time writer that will write 1-2 new blog posts per day: you could even train them to do the keyword research for you: so that your content is completely hands off.
System #3 = Purchase PLR Content. PLR is private label rights content: which means someone else writes articles on a topic and sells it to anyone that wants a copy. You purchase the content and can use it as your own. This saves you tons of time, however, you’re going to find a lot of other people with the same content which makes your site less valuable.
The best way to use PLR content is to rewrite it. Use their pre-written article as a starting point or a baseline for your actual article. When you re-write the article you can change up the order the information is give, switch out some of the resources they provided with new resources etc.: just find a way to change up the text so that it provides the same content just in a different format.
System #4 = Have your content Auto- generated. There a blog plugins that will go out to the web and find articles, videos, questions & answers all related to your topic. This plugin will then take that information (that someone else wrote) and post it to your blog with a correct link back to the original author.
We don’t suggest using solely this plugin for your content: however it’s a good way to supplement your custom content with other news, articles, and facts from the web: without having to do the leg work to find it all. We take you step by step how to use this system in next weeks lesson.
Assignment:
- Decide how often you’re going to post to your blog. We highly suggest posting every other day or every day as that will give your blog a lot of valuable content that will increase the value of your flip.
- Now do some keyword research on your niche. You should find 5-20 keywords that are related to your niche. These keywords will be use as topics for your blog posts.
- Once you have your keywords pull out a calendar: we’re going to plan out your posts, which will eliminate wasted time deciding on topics later on. If you decided on daily posts I suggest you plan out 2 weeks worth of posts. If you decided on every other day posts then you should plan out at least 7 posts. Here are the types of posts you can write:
- Lists: list the top 5 best (whatever) in your niche, lists of the 3 biggest mistakes people make, etc. A list is normally the easiest post to create because just 3-4 items will be enough to fill your post
- Q & A: these are really great and VERY simple to write: go to yahoo answers or answerbag.com and search a keyword in your niche. Pick out 3-6 questions and then write a short intro and then list the questions and their answers.
- Review: pick a product, author, product owner, etc in your niche a write a review of the item: these are often great ways to drop your affiliate link to other products while still giving great content to your readers.
- Argue a point of view: pick a HOT topic in your niche and talk about the 2 sides of the argument and then voice your point of view: these normally stir up the pot and get your readers commenting and giving their opinions as well.
- How to: (one of the simplest posts to write) all you have to do is pick a topic in your niche and talk about how it’s made, how to do the action, etc. if it’s a new traffic process write the steps on how to, if it’s a new make up technique, write out the steps to recreating that technique.
- News: (these are simple and quick posts) All you have to do is check the news update feeds in your niche and post the current events and a small blurb of your experience or opinion on the topic. An easy way to find info for these posts is to subscribe to Google Alerts or News feeds with keywords related to your topic: google alerts will send you email notification as it happens, once a day, or once a week with a list of events on the keyword your provided.
- Profiles: these are normally really fun to make. For the profile posts you pick a popular person in your niche and profile their successes, experiences, products, failures, etc.
- Surveys/Polls: In this post you would talk about a few popular questions in your niche and then have the readers comment with their response: then as a follow up post list out their answers (unanimously)
- What if: in this post you’re just going to write a “what if” style post where you talk about what if there was a magic pill? What would you want in it and then you give your what if, and then readers respond with their what if’s: it’s a good way to get some interaction and creativity going on your blog.
- Success Stories: is very similar to the profiles, but they don’t have to be popular: they can just be short paragraphs about someone that had success in your niche. Often you can get an interview with them and post their answers to your questions as well!
- Hot seats: This is a fun one. You post up a person, website, or product, and then pick it apart: the good & the bad and then get constructive on how it can be better.
- Live shows: starting a live internet show in your niche is a good way to create lots of video content and increase your subscriber base, but its also an easy post. If you did a weekly show: then you take the embed code from the recording and post it to your blog. With a small paragraph about when your show is, the benefits of attending the live show, and then what you talk about in the video.

Once you have your plan in place it’s time to start writing, or hiring someone to write for you. To hire a writer from Scriptlance, you can use this swipe file.
SWIPE FILE: Sample Article Writer Project
Title: Easy Article Writing
Description:
I need a writer to write 4 articles (500 words each).
The topic relates to [add your topic]. Here is the
list of titles for the 4 articles:
[list the article titles (with keyword)]
This should be an easy job for anyone that has written
articles in the past. If it goes well, I am hoping to
hire the winning bidder for many more jobs in the future.
You must use the code word ‘[pick a word]‘ or I will not select
you, no matter how many great reviews you have.
All articles are copyrighted to [your name] any
infringements will be reported to the proper authorities.
I have software that will notify me if there is any
plagiarism.
Thanks
[Your Name]
Budget: $10 – $30
Project Type: Writing
Extra Features: NONE
After you post this project wait about 24 hours and then choose a bidder that has a good balance of positive reviews and low price. DON’T CHOOSE SOMEONE WITH NO REVIEWS! Sometimes they work out but 70% of the time they don’t.
Once you’ve chosen your bidder and the bidder has accepted you’ll communicate with them inside scriptlance via the private message board (PMB). This is where you’ll send a private message to him with your article details. You should tell him the niche your in and the keywords you want him to target in the article.
Do not pay or release an escrow payment to the bidder until you are 100% satisfied with the work. Then submit a review after payment so others will know what to expect from that person. NOTE: with article writing you shouldn’t expect a 100% perfect article: they can get it close, but I normally expect that the writer will write it to 80% of what I want to provide (quality wise) and then I’ll pretty it up the other 20%.
By now you should have received your first 4 articles back and need to schedule your posts so they automatically post to your blog. Follow these steps to post to your new blog:
1. Login To Your Wordpress Admin Area
2. Click On “Posts” and then “Add New”
3. Now Copy Paste the article into the text box and give your post a title.
4. Don’t forget to categorize your posts by commong themes or topics in your niche
5. Now scroll to the top and look for the “Publish Status” section on the right hand side. Click on the “Edit” button next to the words “Publish Immediately.” This is where you’ll select the date and time for your article to be published.
GO ahead and schedule out the 4 articles you have
If you were planning on mixing it up between, PLR and your custom written articles, go ahead and schedule all your posts for the next 2 weeks (that way you only have to worry about content 2 days a month).
Here’s a video showing you how to create and schedule posts in your Wordpress Blog:
Now, you need to go back and post another project on scriptlance for the remaining articles you need for fresh content to your blog: you can also rehire your scriptlance outsourcer form the previous project if they did a great job.
NOTE: When I need 10-15 articles, I never hire just one person. I split them up across 2-3 writers so that they all get done inside a couple of days. One BIG project often overwhelms the writers and they never deliver the complete package.
When all of that is finished you should now have 2 weeks worth of content on your blog and 4 weeks worth of content planned. This should take you no more then 3-4 days if you’re spending at least 2 hours per night on your business. This concludes this weeks lesson!
Congratulations! You’re not ready to Get Some Google Love. Here’s a video that will walk you through what to do with your content so that Google starts to give you love and post your site
in the search engines.
NOTE: this video was created for another website flipping training on the 4 page Weebly Flips. However, the step-by-step lesson of getting listings in Google is in this video, so give it just a few minutes to get passed the 4 page Weebly intro, and into the “good stuff” you need.
Coming Next Week:
This week we covered the how to fill your site with quality content and getting listed in the search engines. Next week we will cover self writing blogs and how to install and use Caffienated Content effectively so that your blog will auto-generate content for you.
Coming Next Month:
All this month you are learning about blog flipping because it’s one of the easiest ways to get started and still has scalability for long term profits. Next month you’ll be learning how to flip membership sites for really fast BIG cash.
Specifically you will learn what I call the 25×29 formula which shows you how to flip a mmber ship site for over $3,000 in 30 days or less.

Hi
you posted very good lessons in here: i’m impressed in particular about the keyword research. I never did a so good one like you teach in the video and that’s why i had difficulty to rank high. Compliments Chaunna!
Still have one question: does it make sense to search in the keyword tool and in the difficulty tool for the phrase keywords?
For example:
without “” i get this
growing tomatoes Searches: 90.500 Difficulty: 42
with “” i get:
“growing tomatoes” Searches: 60.500 Difficulty 33
It seems like “to good to be true” as in the second case there would be a 60.500 searches with just 33 difficulty.
Can you make clear this doubt that i have?
Thanks
Fabrizio
You don’t use quotes when submitting a keyword to the keyword difficulty tool. That’s only when you are using Google to find out how many competing pages there are.
I’ve been driving myself crazy with this because I don’t know how to maneuver around wordpress. Maybe you could point me in the right direction so I can stop pulling my hair out. Thanks Boss
1.) Have you watched all the Wordpress tutorial videos in the brass room?
2.) If you are having trouble doing it yourself I recommend hiring a freelancer from Scriptlance.com. Most Wordpress jobs cost $10 or less on Scriptlance.
Yes sir I did multiple time I’ve watched all of them. You got me this far but Its certain things I’ve been trying to do like creating & editing the tabs on my site(Home, About, Contact Us, Privacy Policy) and also the being able to put my article pages in my sidebar instead of them being in one long page. And maybe remove the Blog Roll and Meta from my blog sidebar. I guess I could hire a someone from scriptlance if I knew how. What would keep someone from stealing my information? I’d rather do these things on my own so I can be just as good as you. Its weird I never been so determined to do something that seems so simple yet frustrating. I literally have spent hours over night on this blog. So for now its back to google so I can find out how to do these things. Hope to hear back from you soon Boss with some useful tips on customizing a blog. http://www.offwiththepounds.com
You are having trouble customizing the theme because it’s a random free theme. They are not designed to be easy to customize. They are designed to be used as is. IF you want something that is easy to customize you need to purchase a premium theme.
This website is run on ThemeHybrid and it costs only $25 per year and is quite easy to customize.
Also, I don’t do everything myself I outsource everything that gives me trouble. Learning how to do everything yourself will just make everything take longer. You paid for my help and I’m giving you the best help I could be giving you.
Most millionaires do not know how to setup a wordpress blog, because that’s not what makes money. They pay someone else to do the grunt work and they do the things that make money, like writing the website for sale listing or networking with potential buyers. I wish I had learned that lesson sooner, because I was just like you trying to learn how to do everything myself. Then as soon as I started outsourcing it I had time to stop doing the little things and start doing the big things.
You are making so much since right now and I don’t know why I didn’t realize that sooner. Its time for a change and stop being so cheap I guess. I will be outsourcing for now on as you say. And I apologize for the late reply I didn’t realize you sent me a reply.
I’m in the process of hiring some foreign guy to custom make my website for $25 but since I’m such a rookie at this I’m not sure what is the process of what I need to do? I would ask him but I’m scared I will get taken for all my website information and all this would be for nothing even though this is pretty fun. So Im about to select the winning bidder and I was hoping to get some tips on security measures? You know the do’s and don’ts/ pro’s and con’s.
P.S
I will not select a winning bidder until you have gotten back to me!
So please hurry and get back to me my goal is to have this site done and posted for sale by this evening. Thank you from your loving mentee
Hi Justin,
Can you give me a critique of my site.
I’m combining uniquely outsourced articles with caffeinated content. The rest of the articles will be with me soon to post, I just really wanted to know what you thought of the site.
I’m not sure about the tagline…I’m thinking of changing it to “your wedding day in the sun” but does it need to be more obvious (what it is) than catchy…like “your wedding planning guide” for example.
I have a couple of first page rankings (video sites) for a PowerPoint presentation video I made of the top article.

Change your passwords before you hire them to something that none of your other password are. For example if you use the word floppy for your banking paswords online then make sure you don’t give him floppy as one of your passwords. Instead give them seomthing they know is temporary like assistant instead of floppy. Now of course you shouldn’t use any of my examples as they were just examples.
Also make sure you don’t pick someone with zero reviews or bad reviews. I like to pick someone who has good reviews but isn’t the highest priced either. I like them right in the middle pricewise and with good reviews.
And stop being so scared of someone stealing your idea. It’s a natural fear but one you need to overcome. I don’t care how big or how good you get all it takes is $3,000 and 3 months time and anyone in the world can copy your business. It’s like being scared to go outside because technically you could get struck by lighting. Sure it can happen but you take your precautions and go about your day.
Someone stealing your ideas or copying your work is just one of those risks you have to live with if you want to be a business owner.
The precautions are watch who you trust, act fast, be first, and work harder then any copy cat is willing to work. The good news is copycats by nature are lazy asses so you don’t have to work too hard to beat them.
In the future please put a link to the website you want critiqued so I don’t have to guess it’s the one in your URL field.
This website is a good start to a good flip. As of right now you could probably get $100 for it easily. With the top search engine ranking you might get $200 – $300 but that would be getting a little lucky. This website needs more articles (at least 10) and it needs more monetization.
When I look at this website I see a site that someone kinda knows what they are doing but didn’t really finish. If I was a buyer my gut would be saying that you stopped half way into the setup period and found another project to work on. Take a look at this blog that was just flipped for $197 http://flippa.com/auctions/80284/site – If that site had a better header it would have been an amazing deal. But look at how much content it had and monetization.
I believe it was a self writing blog also using the WPRobot plugin for Amazon products.
