Apart from the social networking sites, video marketing is also gaining
momentum. YouTube.com is one such platform that allows the
corporate/seller to showcase the product features by the means of
video. Most of the readers and audience prefer to watch the features
online before purchasing he product.
Video marketing is especially popular in the Gadgets segment, such as
mobile phones, processors, play stations, laptops. Just a written
description does not suffice, therefore the marketers and promoters
launch the video of the product on free video sharing sites such as you
tube, Google video etc. This also provides the feedback to the
marketer, based on the viewer statistics and number of times it has
been added to favorites.
While social media marketing is not the whole soul of any marketing
campaign, but the marketers should consider to integrate internet
marketing via networking sites, with the overall marketing
communication objectives, as ignoring it may mean you are losing on
potential customers.
